About
Anastasia Vasiliadis is a multi-medium sculptor with a specialization in glass. Much of her work takes on botanical and feral imagery, such as pomegranate seeds and rabbits. Her work often touches on themes of beauty, sexuality, and death.
βFor me, making the abstract visible gives me a tangibility that I crave. As much as materiality fascinates me I am especially drawn to glass and its ethereal qualities. Outside of the hotshop I continue to look for this ethereal quality, particularly transparency, in other materials, like caramel or plastics.β
In 2021 she received her BFA at Tyler School of Art and Architecture. She is currently based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
